Who I am…

For the last 35 years I have been involved in all kinds of political combat all across America and I have the battle scars to prove it. I am a writer, speaker and commentator who unlike many so-called pundits and commentators, has actually been in the arena. Trust me, this ain’t my first rodeo.

From my new platform, Ridin’ Fences with Patrick Dorinson, I will do as I always have whether on my radio show or in my writings. I will continue to tell the stories of the regular folks who do most of the heavy lifting in this country. 

From the factory floor to America’s ranches and farms from the single mom waiting tables at the local diner to the men and women who strike out on their own by starting a small business. And from the police and firefighters who keep us safe in our communities to those in our military standing guard against our enemies in faraway lands, it is they who are the backbone of America

I can spin pretty a good yarn and I admire the sharp wit of that great American humorist Mark Twain, the common sense and humor of Will Rogers and the insightful storytelling ability of legendary radio personality Paul Harvey. I strive to reflect their styles and values in all I do.

I was a columnist for the FOX News.com Opinion section on the FOX News website. In the past I appeared on Sean Hannity on the FOX News Channel and on Cavuto on the FOX Business Channel as well as on FOX News.com webcasts. 

For eight years I hosted my own radio show, The Cowboy Libertarian on iHeart media’s KFBK radio station in Sacramento. 

When I’m not out meeting new folks so I can tell the real story of America and her people, you can usually find me in the saddle on the back of my horse Beamer.
